WASHINGTON, D.C. (August 11, 2022) — The National Wildlife Federation Action Fund has endorsed U.S. Senator John Thune of South Dakota for re-election, citing his unwavering commitment to wildlife conservation, collaborative partnerships with farmers and ranchers, and responsible management of grasslands, national forests, and public lands.
“Senator Thune has been a strong advocate for conservation solutions that recover wildlife, support our outdoor recreation economy, responsibly manage and restore our grasslands, national forests and public lands, and secure our wildlife heritage for future generations,” said Collin O’Mara, president and CEO of the National Wildlife Federation Action Fund. “Senator Thune also understands that we need to prioritize collaborative conservation partnerships with farmers and ranchers through the Conservation Reserve Program and other programs. The people of South Dakota are fortunate to have a leader like Senator Thune in the U.S. Senate — and the National Wildlife Federation Action Fund is proud to endorse him for re-election.”
